Objectives
Equality Bill
Inform & explain toprocurers and suppliers the legal
requirements and opportunities that existunder the new
legislation.
Case studies
Through good practicalexamples and case studies seek to
demonstrate the practical benefits i.e.improved service delivery,
expanded employment opportunities, supplierdiversity &
opportunities for local business.
Guidance & resources
Signpost & highlightresources, tool kits, guidance &
other support that is currently available.Identify gaps regionally
and define focus for capacity building programme goingforward.
Good practice
Facilitate sharing of good practice both from within the region
and outside itof embedding E&D through the whole commissioning
cycle, includingmonitoring & identifying appropriate mechanisms
to do this.
Feedback & developingguidance
Gain a better understanding ofopportunities and challenges of
embedding E&D into the supply chain.Feedback best practise to
inform writing of EHRC non statutory guidance &other national
guidance to ensure it is both relevant and practical.
