Smarter Local Government
On the 17th of March 2010 the North West E Government Group
(NWEGG) will be holding their annual Spring Full Members Meeting
this year focussing on the opportunities to make efficiencies
through "Smarter Local Government".
The event relates to the wider government initiative "Smarter
Government", however the theme has been tailored to reflect the
immediate requirements of local organisations, particularly the
need to operate more efficiently whilst preserving the quality of
delivery.
This is a great opportunity to hear from a great range of speakers
here in the North West and network with like minded colleagues, to
understand some of the "no brainers" for more cost effective
working and to engage with relevant national initiatives. The day
includes an active mix of speakers who will be covering a number of
key agenda items that you should be aware of.
Some of the speakers presenting on the day include:
-Steven Pleasant, Chief Executive of Tameside, Chair of NWEGG
- Erika Wenzel, Chief Executive, Cheshire East Council
- Neil Hind, Programme Manager, NW IEP
- Patrick Clark, Government Connect
- Bernadette Hurst, Assistant Chief Executive, NW IEP
The event is FREE to NWEGG member organisations plus there is no
limit on numbers of attendees from any given organisation (within
the limits of the venue).
Details of the event:
Location: Heron's Reach, De Vere Hotel, East Park Drive, Blackpool,
