Background

This OGC buying solutions framework delivers services to allow for the making and receiving of voice calls, sending and receiving of SMS and voicemail provision.

The framework also delivers mobile data solutions through Blackberry devices and push-email services, as well as paging facilities.

Total mobile solutions are also offered, providing laptops and laptop data cards for project work forces to function remotely.

This framework commenced on 1st May 2006 and is valid until 31st December 2008
 
Who can use the framework?

This framework agreement is open to all Public Sector bodies in the UK.

Key features and benefits of framework

• An additional 20% discount, compared to the previous framework agreement, on the cost of standard packages for public sector users
• ‘Talk and Text’ solution offers excellent choice, network coverage and fixed tariff rates that cannot be beaten outside of this pre-tendered arrangement
• Use of some of the best service providers: O2, Orange, T-Mobile & Vodafone
• ‘Talk and Text’ offers a number of packages where line rental is free and call time charges are as little as 3p per minute
• Customer reassurance regarding EU compliance and conformity to current legislation and the security of Government terms and conditions
• Simple to use  – handsets are supplied in a matter of days
