TEAM Solution to delivery of Display Energy Certificates (DECs) by April 2008
Background
Are you preparing for the DEC? There is a significant fine if you do not exhibit your DECs by April 2008.
The EU Energy Performance of Building Directive states that if an eligible public sector building fails to display a valid DEC by April 2008 the organisation will be charged £500. It is also essential that a valid advisory report of recommended energy saving measures is displayed by this date and there will be a hefty £1000 fine for not meeting this requirement.
DECs are only required for buildings that are occupied by a public authority or an institution providing a public service to a large number of persons that have a total useful area greater than 1000m2
TEAM is offering a complete solution to enable public sector organisations to produce DECs before next April. This offer includes a software module to produce the Certificate and in addition, accredited TEAM Consultants will provide a service to include the collation and production of data, determination of which sites are valid and guidance with benchmark categories
