NW CAA Summary of Area Assessments

09 December 2009

The Audit Commission released the results of the Comprehensive Area Assessment (CAA) this morning. This is the summary of the Area Assessment. The NW received 10 'green flags'.

The Area Assessment is not scored. To provide a clear indication of either significant concerns about future improvement or to highlight exceptional performance or improvement the Audit Commission has used red and green 'flags'.

The first year of assessment has resulted in the following 10 green and 18 red flags being issued in the NW. Many areas that recieved red flags, also attracted a green flag. Some areas did not recieve a flag at all.
