North West Construction Hub to Lead Engineering, Civils and Professional Services (Construction) Framework
20 July 2010
Northwest Regional Development Agency (NWDA), North West
Improvement and Efficiency Programme (NWIEP) and the Centre for
Construction Innovation (CCI) have today announced that the
Engineering, Civils and Professional Services (Construction)
framework will now be led and procured by the North West
Construction Hub (NWCH).
The framework allows design and engineering consultant services to
be procured efficiently.
NWCH already has a number of existing construction frameworks in
place for use by public sector organisations. The addition of
the Engineering, Civils and Professional Services (Construction)
framework completes its built environment framework portfolio,
which is in use on projects across the North West.
NWCH commented: "This agreement will ensure that there continues to
be in place a coherent strategy for regional strategic supplier
arrangements for the next four years."
The framework is currently undergoing a European Union (OJEU)
compliant procurement selection process, which will now be
continued by NWCH in partnership with CCI. The new framework is
scheduled to begin operation in April 2011 and will run to
2015.
A prior information notice has already been issued by NWDA. This
notice will be reissued by NWCH as the new Contracting
Authority.
